Improvement Opportunities
•
Parking and access to park components should be reconfigured to meet ADA standards.
•
This main entry road could be paved for easier access.
•
Playground equipment needs attention, and the safety surface needs to be upgraded to meet ADA requirements.
•
Investments in the playground area could increase usage, and with more unique play features, this park could become a destination park..
•
Upgrade ballfield lighting to current standards.
•
The restroom facilities need to be updated and maintained daily.
•
A major concern to the Westmoreland citizens and all park users is that both the current and future wastewater treatment facilities are located adjacent/nearby this park. This should be an item discussed in more detail to develop a vision for the future of this park.
